Oh, Dana, that morning thing, my brain doesn't function. When I taught, the long drive made me wake. I'd do my writing at night, 9-10. When I clock said 10, I turned off my machine. The next line usually occurred to me as I was walking away, I wrote it down and started with it the next day.

I was early with the books I did that way.

My own sitcom? Yikes, I'm not so sure about that. Mind you, the actress was hilarious and plays in a sitcom.
Still, Campbellton is lovely, and we had a really good relaxed time. It felt longer, too, which was odd, but much needed.

Blythe -- Glad you found inspiration about your project. Whenever I'm about to give up I think, "Quitting is Not an Option." Once I accept that fact, I keep skipping merrily (or not so merrily ) along.

Debby -- I hope you LOVE the the movie as much as I did. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the quality of the adaptation. That book is on the top of my To Read pile.

THE HELP ranks as one of my all-time favorite reads!

IMHO, for writers, every book presents a challenge. Often we share deeply. Exposing our inner thoughts to the world takes courage, just as Katheryn Stockett wrote about in THE HELP.
