Reading a new book and working on a sequel...

Greetings on this sunny Friday. Yes, the sun is out FINALLY here in Massachusetts. This has got to be the rainiest summer on record.

I'd actually hoped to give you a review of Lenora Worth's Code of Honor today. It was one of the many books I took home from the RWA National Conference in Washington, DC last month. But alas, writing, both fiction and freelancing, has kept me from finishing. I will say this though. Brice Whelan is an absolute doll as a hero and all I can think about when I read this book is Gerard Butler. More on that after I finish the book.

Okay, it's back to work for me. I'm anxiously awaiting Amazon.com to post the cover of my December 12/09 book, Yuletide Protector. I've seen the cover and it's gorgeous. I can't wait to share it with you all. In the meantime, I'm working hard on a sequel to Yuletide Protector and hope to have that to my editor within the next week.

Until next time, many blessings, Lisa Mondello

That the hero makes you think of Mr. Butler is just about enough review for me to take a look at the book! And I love Lenora's books anyway.

I can relate to your writing...I'm finishing a proposal today and working on cover ideas. My blog readers chose Jeffrey Donovan as the hero of the day, so concentrating isn't all that hard!

One of the best part of my job is prowling the Internet for pictures of good-looking men. Tough, but someone has to do it...

Lisa, here I was buzzing through the blog and saw you mention my lovable Brice Whelan. Sigh. I fell for him the day he walked into my pages in an earlier book. Thanks for the mention. Brice is winking at you. Now I must get to work on the hero you will meet toward the end of Brice's story--Shane Warwick. He's British and very debonair. He's calling to me right now since I left the heroine and him in a gun battle with a very bad guy. Their getaway car is a kicking yellow Miata that belongs to the heroine's mother who used to be a spy but now sells Mary Kay along with her friend. Gotta love this job!

Lenora, sweetie, if Shane is anything like Brice, I've got to have that book!
