Killer Chocolate: A Valentine Mystery Part Four

It was all too much for a Thursday morning. Lovey was supposed to be heading for the morning Ladies' Bible Class. She was NOT supposed to be standing in her shop with her missing fianc├ęs secret twin brother. And she was MOST CERTAINLY NOT supposed to be gaping at her assistant who seemed to be in on the secret.

Lovey let go of the sofa's arm and stood. This was her shop, and Ryan was her fiance!

Was her fiance? Five years.... Five long years. And now? Could he possibly still be alive? “Athena, are you going to tell me what this is all about?”

“Oh, Lovey,” Athena’s eyes teared up. “I’ve hated keeping secrets from you, but it was for your own good.”

“But not Ryan’s own good!” Rouen practically snarled. “What about my brother? Where is he? Why have you called me here now? Why all the theatrics?”

Athena took a deep breath and walked to an antique desk. Quickly she removed the plate of chocolate and all the antiques that were spread across the smooth surface. Finally, she sat in the chair and pushed what must have been either a lever or a button. There was a loud clicking sound and then the top of the desk slowly slid back, displaying what looked like an aged map.

“Luxor,” Rouen said softly, moving closer to the desk and looking down.

“Only half,” murmured Athena.

France, Greece, Egypt, maybe alive, maybe not - you ladies are making me crazy! (This is a good thing...)

And the plot just keeps twisting along!

I don't know what I enjoyed the most, writing the entry or looking for the clip art. I found the desk I was looking for.

I can't seem to get this storyline off my mind. I keep waiting for another installment!!! How about twice a day! The suspense is killing me!

That's what we like to hear, Linda. I'm loving the turn this story is taking!

My head is spinning with this plot. Lovey must have trusted Ryan so much to let him get away with this. I keep wondering if Rouen is Ryan and he's just trying to protect Lovey.

The chocolate thickens!

Lenora, I so want it to be that way. I waver from Rouen is really Ryan and he left to try to protect her from what was going on to Ryan will come back and save them all. He can't have broken Lovey's heart without a good reason.

And I want to know what's going to happen with Luxor.

Well, I don't know about Ryan. He's been gone a long time, and for all we know, Athena could be him in an altered form!

Barbara,
Hmmm, that never occurred to me. Personally, I think the cat did it because there is no butler.

I just got a chance to read today's and I feel like I'm lost in a maze with no way out and pretty soon the men in the white coats are going to come pick me up and take me someplace nice and quiet and has no web access so I will finish going bonkers!!!!!

Ellen, I'm lost in that maze with you.
Great job, Pamela.

PamelaTracy said...

Ellen,
If you go bonkers and they take you away, please take notes. We'll use some of your experiences in our next serial. heheheh

Margaret,
You made my day. High praise coming from you. Thanks.

LOL Pamela ~~ if they let me have a pencil and paper I'll take notes and by the was I really enjoy stories that are not so obvious that I can figure them out so that makes this one of the best.

Okay, I think Ryan is the villain, and he was just out to get Lovey's chocolates!

Rouen has hero written all over him.

Athena...is she good or bad? I can't tell at this point. One moment, I think she's up to no good and the next I'm convinced she's on Lovey's side. But then, which side is Lovey on?
